GALECLAN
ravenpaw
APPEARANCE Cloaked in a warm shade of black, Ravenpaw is a peculiar rarity among the pelts of her family. With a plume of downy fur that sticks up in every direction, the she-cat looks more like a soft umber tumbleweed than an apprentice. Still, Ravenpaw's tiny ears mimic her calico mother's exactly with the furred tips that angle them into a delicate point, and her amber eyes shine with the same hue as of one of her father's own. Though it's difficult to acertain where her fur ends and her petite yet chubby body begins, in terms of her build, the gentle slope of Ravenpaw's muzzle and the tiny shape of each paw suggests that she might one day mirror the graceful yet grandiose frame of her father. PERSONALITY Perhaps the first impression of Ravenpaw is her serious demeanor. She sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the other apprentices, as she prefers to study and spend time alone. Ravenpaw doesn't giggle and laugh, and it's rare to find her smiling about anything other than her studies. While they're minor, premature studies on basic things, she shows great promise and devotion. It seems that she exists to learn, and has no interest in playing around. Partaking in play scuffles or battles makes her very hostile and agitated, as she tries to avoid physical contact as much as possible. So she broods alone, probing dead mice and moss balls in the back of the den. she radiates an eerie, creepy aura off of her. Many avoid being alone with her, as she likes to analyze every inch of cats, watching them for imperfections and faults. (Not to take advantage of them, but to figure out how to improve herself.) On top of that, her behavior needs some work. She loves to steal garbage and bones, and will sit and poke a dead mouse for hours on end. Her interests are peculiar and specific, and it takes a trained eye to understand her motives. Or, maybe, she doesn't have any motives at all and she's just simply incredibly curious about the world around her. On the positive side of things, this little apprentice has a vast imagination. She's always thinking outside the box, and loves coming up with unique solutions to problems. This imaginative side of her makes her very open-minded and considerate of others, even if she doesn't particularly care about their feelings. But there's potential there, if she ever were to suddenly start caring. This aspect brings her back down to her age, and often helps her articulate her plans in a way others can understand. To put it very simply, Ravenpaw doesn't care. All of her worries and thoughts are on her experiments and not the animal behind them. She'd have no problem killing prey simply to study it, instead of eat it. It seems her moral compass is a bit off, even when it comes to cats close to her. If she were to wrong her friends, she would view it as a necessary sacrifice. This causes some concern, but maybe she needs to grow into his feelings a bit. However, if anything could make her smile, it would be science. She is so, so passionate about her studies that it consumes nearly every waking moment. Her passion is obvious by the amount of time she spend on her experiments, and how she talks so excitedly about them. If anyone shows interests in her studies, she almost immediately opens up to them, and gives them as warm of a demeanor she can muster. she wants to share her passions with every clan, and enlighten them in all the wonderful science that they're missing.
HISTORY Ravenpaw was born to a tom and a she-cat, who both didn't feel too concerned to become parents at the moment and lived far beyond the clan's territories. The she-cat left her kits at the border of GaleClan, knowing that they would quickly be taken in and acclimated to the clans. Luckily, they were found by a tom, and all named as he deemed fit: her two siblings were name accordingly, and she got the name of Ravenpaw. While her adoptive father wasn't too keen on the idea of raising children, his friend and female clanmate convinced him into it. They would raise these odd, odd children together, and hopefully keep them out of too much mischief. |
